I am the canals of Leiden, drawn from the real map, and a little boat with a net. Hold down where you want to sail and scoop up what floats: plastic bottles, cans, carrier bags, newspapers, a glass jar, an apple core, now and then a rubber duck. When the hold is full, sail to a waste point and sort it all into the five Dutch bins — PMD, paper, glass, GFT and rest. Every piece pays a few coins, a canal fished clean pays more, and the coins buy a wider net, a bigger hold and a stronger motor at the boatyard. The city is four neighbourhoods; clean the one you are in and the bridges into the next one lift. On the way you pass City in Motion's places, and each one tells you its story. There is no timer and nothing to lose — the city waits where you left it.

Sail Leiden's canals in a little boat, fish the plastic out and sort it at the quay.

I'd love to know that someone came by — as a number, never a name. May I count your visit? And if an ad brought you here, may I tell that ad it worked?
